When I first started this research a year ago, I selected ten Indian arts that were on the verge of extinction. As I peeled away at the layers of investigation, I discovered more and more arts that needed to be saved.
There are many fascinating aspects of Indian traditional art and craft that are rarely mentioned. This article examines the evolution and survival of Indian folk art over thousands of years to become what it is now. This culture may be lost to future generations if it is not properly preserved, so it is critical to do it today!
